The New Orleans Superdome may be torn down because of the extensive damage it sustained during Hurricane Katrina and the flood.
Large sections of the Superdome's roof were sheared away during the hurricane.
The Superdome was the home of the New Orleans Saints, and was used for the annual Sugar Bowl, various other sporting events, and numerous general events.
The Superdome housed up to 30,000 Hurricane Katrina survivors, the last survivors were evacuated on
September 3rd.
