President Bush, who has failed the survivors of Hurricane Katrina in every way imaginable, is now touring areas damaged by Hurricane Rita.
Bush indicated that Rita survivors would be eligible for the same $2,000 per household aid that Katrina survivors received. He also warned residents not to return to their homes until they were told to do so.
“Now's not the time to come back until they get the utilities up and running, until they can get the sewers up and running and until they can get some water for people to drink," said Bush.
Rita caused about 120 deaths (direct and indirect deaths), and about $11 billion in damage.
